You don’t need to be good at drawing in order to show your clients a clear representation of your awesome design. A few tips and tricks in SketchUp goes a long way.
SketchUp is a free computer software that allows you to communicate in 2D or 3D drawings. Quickly turn your floorplans into three-dimensional rooms, drop in some cool furniture or create a custom kitchen. SketchUp is a valuable tool to ‘wow’ your clients and allow them to see your design vision. When they can see it, they will understand it and want it!
Learn how to navigate in a 3D platform, create walls, insert doors and windows in this beginner session. Examples of how SketchUp is used for interior design are shown and the basics explained. A few useful tips are demonstrated in this session, with the small group of six allowing for each student having hands-on time with Lauren. Ideal for those who have never used a 3D or drafting software before, this is bringing it back to basics.
